Have you ever accidentally deleted an app or found some went missing without your knowledge? Well, you aren’t alone. Losing software like this is pretty common, even if you use the best Android apps. As complex webs of coding, modern Android phones mix things up from time to time. AP’s got you covered with a step-by-step guide to explain why this happens and, more importantly, how to fix it. So if you’ve noticed something’s missing, no worries; AP is here to help.

How did my App get deleted?

This can happen for several reasons, for example:

  • Accidentally deleting an app. No shame in Butterfingers.
  • Corruption due to malware can result in losing an app or two. This can be remedied with antivirus apps.
  • Factory resets delete all unessential apps (the function would be fatally flawed otherwise).
  • Transferring data between devices can be a problem. Data will be affected if disconnection occurs for any reason.

These are common issues, so don’t feel singled out. Here’s how you fix it.

Launch the Google Play Store app

  • Locate your lost app and tap it. This will open the app’s Play Store page where it can be reinstalled normally.

Tip: If you want to reinstall multiple apps on the list at once, there are checkboxes for every app. Tap on one to select it. Tap the downward pointing arrow icon at the top right of the screen to start reinstalling the selected apps.

Don’t panic about if you’ve lost an app, you can easily recover every Play Store download

This should retrieve all of your favorite android apps. Google loves to update its services and move settings around, so there is no shame in losing one occasionally. Plus, it’s kind of cool to see all the apps you have downloaded in a single place. So don’t stress if something’s missing; Google has your back, ensuring you won’t ever misplace an app again.
