They are obviously lying, even basic knowledge of game development times pretty much ensures a game like this was in development for at least 2 years before Microsoft bought them.
So not only are they lying, they are calling an employee who was actually being honest a liar. This is Microsoft, this is the company people are cheerleading. This is the new work environment for people swept up in these purchases, you are now expected to lie for Microsoft. Just watch, this guy will “retire” about 6 months’ish after the game releases…
If people actually think Microsoft cares about them is consumer friendly or any of that other crap this is who they are, this is a 2 trillion dollar company who has fired more than 20k people in the past year. If they don’t care about their employees, they don’t care about you.
It’s not Microsoft that’s keeping Sony in check, it’s Sony who is keeping Microsoft in check. If it wasn’t for Sony your gaming console would have been an always online spy box to sell what you said to advertisers and who knows what else that sold only licenses to games to make sure you couldn’t sell or trade them.
Xbox’s fans are driving the entire gaming industry off a cliff, from which there is no going back.
