In one of the most unexpected things to come out today, it looks like OnePlus is turning to its users to create a coach jacket for the company.
OnePlus says its users have “artistic creativity and skills,” and the company wants to give them an outlet for those skills with a contest that will see them designing a jacket with the theme of “We and OnePlus.”

If you’re looking to get involved in the process, you will need to sign up for contest-related notifications by June 5. From there, you will need to download a template for the design or use the online tool. You can design anything you think will fit within the theme as mentioned above, save as a PNG, and then upload it by June 15.
From there, the company has a team that will look over the OnePlus jackets and pick the top eight. Of the ones chosen, the community will then vote and pick the winner.
Everyone who sends a design will receive 200 OnePlus community points. The jackets that make it to the top eight will get 1,000 community points and get featured in OnePlus channels. The winners will get a limited edition jacket and a trip to the company’s next physical launch event, which includes one-night accommodation and a flight.
It will be particularly interesting to see how users respond to this contest. The company didn’t announce plans for selling the jackets once the contest is over, though we’d assume they’ll make them available to users, especially since it mentioned a limited edition jacket as a prize for the winner.
