If there’s any classic Lamborghini we would like to buy right now, this one might be it. Auxietre & Schmidt is offering up a 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 with a storied history, original mechanical components, and of course, gorgeous supercar looks.

When it debuted in 1966, the Lamborghini Miura was the fastest production car in the world. It was the original supercar, laying the foundation for new exotic cars to offer wild levels of performance. It’s also hard not to argue the Miura is one of the best-looking vehicles ever made, and this example looks particularly fetching with red paint and gold wheels.

This Miura P400, which interestingly shares its chassis number with an earlier car that was written off, spent its early years in Germany before heading to Japan, where it was snatched up by the world-famous Matsuda collection in Tokyo. It eventually ended up in California, and when it was shown at the 1997 Concorso Italiano during Monterey Car Week, it won first in its class. At one point in time, it made an appearance at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. After all these years, the Miura has logged just 19,832 kilometers on the odometer (12,323 miles). Open the doors of this Miura, and you’ll find a beautiful, well-maintained cream and brown interior.

Under the sheetmetal, the Miura P400 packs a V-12 engine with around 350 hp. The engine is mounted transversely instead of longitudinally, which allowed the car to consolidate weight closer to its midpoint while leaving space for a small five cubic-foot trunk. Different variations of the Miura were built over the years, including the even more powerful SV and a one-off roadster.

Now for what you really want to know: How much does it cost? The current asking price for this P400 is 900,000 euros. That’s roughly $1 million at today’s exchange rates.
