You’ve seen the stunning Barbie character posters. You’ve seen the memes. Now get ready for the glory that is Barbie‘s latest teaser trailer.
Greta Gerwig’s Barbie takes us to the idyllic world of Barbie Land, where Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) live along countless other Barbies (played by Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, and more) and Kens (played by Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and more). Everything is pink, plastic, and perfect — but that doesn’t stop Barbie and Ken from having their own existential ennui.
The trailer hints at multiple dance numbers, a beach fight, and a trip to the real world where Mattel executives await. While we don’t learn much about the plot, we do learn that Barbie and Ken are together… and that Ken literally never goes anywhere without his rollerblades. Oh, and he really, really wants a beach-off with Liu’s Ken. Sounds like a blast.
Barbie hits theaters July 21.
