Games leak early all the time. This is nothing new. The full chain of distribution requires physical stock get a 1 – 2 week head start just arriving at warehouses, and when a large stock of a game arrives at a warehouse, who’s going to notice one or two missing copies among thousands? Sure a store or two may notice their stock allocation is short a copy, but that would likely just be considered a clerical error.
Then when it comes to the internet, try as they might to take stuff down, Nintendo is only one company that can hardly combat the fact that once something is on the internet, it’s damn near impossible to ever fully remove it.
