Quick resume has never failed me yet. I dont use it that often but when i do it works. And quite often i accidentally leave game on quick resume and when i test it the game open up immediately. Its not necessery feature often but you cant save on many games when you like specially, roguelites, hades etc. It would be a nice thing to have for returnal or lightbrigade.
What i dont like about xbox features you can only save max 30seconds game clips i wasnt able to record any of my elden ring boss fights. Unless there are some hidden settings, i only found setting for quality and 15/30sec lengh for clips. With ps5 with a press of a button you can open the last hour of your gameplay and edit it how you want.
