And as I have pointed out we won’t get to see next-gen fully at least 2 years into it. Exactly when MS said they would start launching exclusively for Series X and PC.

They are plenty confident in their console as they are dependant on gamepass (which will skyrocket with Xcloud integration later this year) rather than how many consoles get sold. And with limited supplies this Holiday neither Sony or MS are confident.

Who made it a mandate that it has to take 4-5 years to make a game. Playground RPG team, Ninja theory, and Rare are more than ready for 2021 release if not 2020. And it’s 2022 where we will see next-gen only games from The initiative, Coalition, Obsidian, World edge and Turn 10.
Not even Sony is going to have their studios ready. With only Guerilla and Polyphony will release a game in 2021. And according to your 4-5 years development time, its 2022-2023 where we will fully see the full extent of next-gen from Sony studios. Sony will obviously be using third party for their next-gen only games similar to how MS has The medium and scorn as a next-gen only exclusive.

MS is looking out for what Xbox gamers want and give gamers choice.
And by your logic, if they release series X only games then people would be forced to buy the console thus selling more consoles. Would that make more financial sane decisions?

This is one of the most gamer-friendly things MS is doing and it considered bad propaganda.
