Thomas will oversee an Americas unit with about 30,000 employees and $10 billion in annual revenue. His current role is vice president of Mobility Solutions, Americas, where he is responsible for sales, marketing and quality.
“Paul has a proven track record of driving growth in our mobility business. His leadership will be critical to help us support our customers and reach our potential in a key growth region for Bosch globally,” Mike Mansuetti, president of Bosch in North America, said in the release.
Bosch is the world’s largest auto supplier with $49 billion in sales in 2022, according to the Automotive News 2022 list of top suppliers. Its North America business accounted for $15.3 billion of that.
“Bosch brings a rich history and expertise in both the software and hardware domains,” said Thomas, who has 25 years of mobility experience. “Our broad portfolio enables us to bring customers technology-neutral solutions which are essential for supporting a variety of approaches across North and South America.”
Earlier this month, Bosch announced it would revamp its mobility unit in pursuit of $88 billion in global revenue by 2030, Automotive News reported.
