Dolores Roach (One Day At A Time‘s Justina Machado) might have learned a thing or two from Sweeney Todd.
Based on the podcast of the same name, Prime Video‘s new series The Horror of Dolores Roach blends the macabre with comedy in a twisted tale of one woman’s secret empanada recipe.
After serving an unjust 16-year prison sentence, Dolores is left with no prospects or money until her friend Luis (Alejandro Hernandez) suggests that she open up a masseuse station underneath his empanada shop. But, when one session goes horribly wrong, her clients start making their way up to his kitchen — bones and all.
As their empanadas slowly become foodie favorites, all eyes turn to Dolores, who’s escaping another prison sentence by any means necessary.
