Tom Cruise took to Twitter to share an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes of the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. You can check out the clip below.

“We’ve done car chases in Mission: Impossible movies before. But nothing like this one,” Cruise tweeted. The clip features Cruise exhibiting his famous (and also infamous) stunt-driving skills as he maneuvers two cars with remarkable precision, all while gripping the wheel with just one hand. Director Christopher McQuarrie and stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood can also be seen collaborating on the intricate details of the scene, meticulously ensuring its authenticity and intensity.

Cruise emphasizes the realism of the stunts, stating, “Everything we shot is completely practical.” He further expresses his desire to thrill the audience, stating, “It all comes down to one thing. How do we involve the audience? I just want to give them that thrill.” Hayley Atwell, Cruise’s co-star, also shares her experience of witnessing Cruise drive and drift through the streets of Rome with impressive skill.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One also welcomes back familiar faces from the franchise. Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, and Simon Pegg reprise their roles, accompanied by Vanessa Kirby’s return as the White Widow. Henry Czerny, absent since the first film, makes a comeback as the head of the IMF.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to debut in US theaters on July 12, preceded by its release in UK cinemas on July 10.
