Lego’s New Wolverine Model Kit Gives A Peak At The Upcoming X-Men ’97 Cartoon

Lego recently announced a new model kit of Wolverine’s iconic glove. The kit is based on Wolverine’s costume in the upcoming Disney Plus series, X-Men ’97, which finally brings the mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe while also calling back to the iconic X-Men: The Animated Series from the 1990s.

The 596-piece kit features posable fingers and extended Adamantium claws, plus a display stand with a descriptive card. The completed model measures 14.5 inches high.

The Lego Wolverine glove model will release on August 1, but you can preorder the kit for $70 at Target or Lego’s official online store.

Not only is this Lego set a perfect way to show off your love for one of Marvel’s coolest heroes, but the packaging also gives us an early preview of what the iconic mutant will look like in the upcoming X-Men ’97 series.

The box shows Wolverine sporting the classic yellow and blue suit and black, angular mask just like he wore in the X-Men: The Animated series from the ’90s–confirming that this is, in fact, a full-on revival of the beloved ’90s cartoon. Be sure to check out the images on Target and Lego’s website for a closer look at both the model kit and Wolverine’s look.

The first season of X-Men ’97 is set to premiere on Disney Plus later in 2023, with a second season already in development. Along with Wolverine, other fan-favorite mutants like Cyclops, Rogue, and Beast are confirmed to appear.
