Acura Is Reportedly Offering a $12,000 Discount on the 2020 RLX

Acura will discontinue the slow-selling RLX after the 2020 model year, which means it might be the perfect time to snag one if you’re in the market. Right now, you can find discounts of up to $12,000 on the large sedan.

The biggest deal isn’t being advertised on TV or online, though. According to CarsDirect, Acura is offering a dealer cash incentive of $11,000 on the RLX. Dealer cash is given by brands to its dealers so they can discount new cars at their discretion. Typically, its purpose is to help move vehicles off the lot, although dealers can choose to keep the money rather than pass on the discount to consumers.

All versions of the 2020 Acura RLX are eligible for the incentive, according to CarsDirect. Buyers may have to do some shopping around to get the best deal. In addition to the dealer cash, Acura has doubled its loyalty discount to $1,000.

Dealer incentive bulletins show that offers on the RLX have remained flat for at least the past six months. Acura previously offered a $7,500 dealer incentive and a $500 loyalty discount. As for the financing deal that Acura is currently advertising, it’s not nearly as impressive as the dealer cash. Right now, Acura is running a promo for 2.9 percent APR financing for 60 months, or 1.9 percent for 36 months. Both the loyalty discount and APR financing deal expire on July 6.

Before any discounts, the 2020 Acura RLX stickers at $55,925. The gasoline-electric hybrid variant, which boasts more power and better fuel economy, starts at $62,925. Regardless of the powertrain you choose, the RLX is a spacious, quiet, and comfortable cruiser. As we noted in past reviews, we remain unimpressed with the sedan’s outdated infotainment system. For a steep discount, though, we might be able to overlook a couple of the sedan’s flaws.
