Devolver Digital has, historically, always done E3 a little differently, hosting an unofficial showing in a lot near the Los Angeles Convention Center and releasing reveal videos that mix new game trailers and announcements with a strange, ongoing narrative element. The Devolver Direct, also known as the Big Fancy Press Conference, has been running since 2017–but with E3 cancelled this year, it hasn’t been clear when we’d see the next installment.
Now, Devolver Digital has given us some idea of when the stream will go ahead. In a tweet, Devolver Digital said that the video will release in “mid-July”, if all goes as planned. They’ve promised that there will be a mix of updates and release dates for games we’re already aware of, as well as new reveals.
Devolver Direct 2020 will be mid July if all goes well with production.
This year will have some updates + release dates on upcoming games and a couple of new games to reveal – all with gameplay.

Upcoming Devolver Digital published games that we might expect to see more of during the stream include Serious Sam 4, Fall Guys, Disc Room, and Carrion. Hopefully nothing too awful will happen to Devolver’s chief synergy officer Nina Struthers in this year’s video.
