Loki Season 2 Trailer: The God Of Mischief Is Out Of Time

Loki’s first season on Disney+ ended with a dead guardian of time, a god on the run, and a fractured timeline, and for Season 2, Tom Hiddleston’s god of mischief has some serious work ahead of him as he attempts to clean up a messy multiverse. Season 2 of Loki reunites the trickster with Owen Wilson’s Mobius.

For the second season, returning cast members Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Ravonna Renslayer), Tara Strong (Miss Minutes), and Eugene Cordero (Casey/Hunter K-5E) are joined by several new faces. Everything Everywhere All at Once’s Key Huy Quan is fresh off of an Oscar win and joins the group as a Time Variance Authority archivist, while Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones) and Rafael Casal (Blindspotting) have unnamed roles so far.

Loki’s new season picks up after the death of He Who Remains, a Kang variant who kept the “sacred timeline” in check, but after being inconveniently murdered by Loki variant Sylvie, all hell has broken loose and Loki finds himself a man out of time. Literally. Since the first season aired, Marvel has been going big on its multiverse plans as it heads into Phase 5 of the MCU, while Kang actor Jonathan Majors starred as the big bad in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Majors returns as one of his variant forms, Victor Timely, although the actor’s future in the MCU is in doubt following domestic abuse charge in March and several allegations against him that he has denied. Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 6 for a six-episode run, and will be followed by Hawkeye spinoff Echo on November 29.
