The album 1989 was released in 2014, originally featuring 13 songs that include mega-hits like “Shake It Off”, “Blank Space”, “Bad Blood”, “Style” “Wildest Dreams”, and “Out of the Woods”. The album ranked No.1 on the Billboard 200, where it remained in the top ten for a full year. The re-recording version will see 21 songs, with five unreleased originals making their debut. Of the new songs, the singer said that she “can’t believe they were ever left behind.”

1989 (Taylor’s Version) will release on Oct. 27. The vinyl editions are already available on the singer’s website, with special edition deluxe CDs.

Swift began her re-recording journey in 2021, releasing her back catalog to reclaim the rights to her original music recorded with Big Machine Records, rights which were bought by Swift’s former manager Scooter Braun for $300 million, then sold without giving Swift the option. During her (Taylor’s Version) era, she’s breaking many records in the process.
