This is a common debate in bedding. Some duvets have covers made from 100% cotton, others use synthetic microfibre. What is a tog rating?
In the most basic terms, the tog rating is a measurement of how the warm the duvet is. Or more specifically, how effectively a duvet will insulate your body heat. For a super warm winter duvet, look for a tog rating of around 13 to 15. Light, summery duvets are more likely around 4.5 (or even lower, as seen below). The standard is usually 10.5.
