The Illinois Fighting Illini and Rutgers men’s basketball teams are scheduled to meet in a Big Ten Conference contest on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway, New Jersey. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT. 

Illinois, ranked No. 24 in The Associated Press poll, enters the matchup 5-1 overall. Most recently, Illinois beat Western Illinois 84-52 on Nov. 24. Rutgers comes into the contest 5-1 overall. On Monday, Rutgers defeated St. Peter’s 71-40.

Entering Saturday, Illinois leads the all-time series 11-4 vs. Rutgers. This is the Big Ten Conference opener for both Illinois and Rutgers.

The Illinois vs. Rutgers basketball game is scheduled to be broadcast by Big Ten Network at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 2. BTN broadcasters are scheduled to be Cory Provus (play-by-play) and Stephen Bardo (analyst).
