Helldivers 2 – Patch Notes 1.10

You love to see it.

I don’t know how long this lasts, but I love the idea of CoD losing its relevance. What games like Helldivers 2 and even The Finals proves, to me, is that it is not a forgone conclusion that Call of Duty is inevitable at all times. Still got the rest of the year to go, though I think this is the last year for the next two years where they can be relevant (Rockstar is back next year). Personally, I hope GTA VI is so amazing that CoD drops off. Then again, it’s already going to lose a lot of money in sales on Xbox—ABK games are coming to Game Pass pretty soon, as I recall.

Curious to see how this goes. In this regard, I think I see why Sony is looking at live service games: they’re looking to crush CoD. To have content so compelling in the multiplayer space that it won’t matter if it’s not on PlayStation.

I wish them good luck, because f*** ABK.
