Helldivers 2 is the gift that keeps on giving. Some players have been running into new stratagems that have yet to be fully released, and the latest one allows players to drive a recon vehicle.
Thanks to X/Twitter user @ Mr_Rebs_, we’re given a glimpse of a squad of Helldivers bunched in a Warthog-like car with a machine gun turret on top that players can control and shoot. Those sitting in the passenger seats have the option to lean out and shoot.
It’s unclear when players will be able to reliably choose this vehicle drop as a stratagem, but it follows a trend of new equipment dropping into the game as a surprise for players. Another player recently found a mech they could pilot.
Although it seems like there may not be much rhyme or reason as to why these new stratagems are suddenly appearing, it does make sense when reminded that Helldivers 2 has a Game Master who oversees how the overall battle is played. Although nothing by Arrowhead Game Studios has been officially confirmed, it may be a safe assumption to assume that the Game Master is potentially teasing new stratagems before releasing them to the entire player base.
