If there’s one noticeable trend about OnePlus’ smartphones, it’s that they keep getting more expensive with each passing year. Then again, it’s not just OnePlus that’s on this trajectory. Flagship phones have started breaching the $1,000 price mark. This is why there’s such big a need for good mid-range options on the market. Samsung already has its A series to address that demand and will probably have a cheaper Galaxy S20 soon. Apple revived the iPhone SE. And now, OnePlus is on the verge of launching the OnePlus Nord.

The OnePlus Nord, A.K.A the OnePlus Z, A.K.A. the OnePlusLiteZThing is shaping up to be a promising mid-range candidate. With its rumored Snapdragon 765 chipset, a dual front-camera system, a 90Hz display, and a 4,300mAh battery, the OnePlus Nord could be quite an attractive buy. So how much will you pay for it? We asked you, our readers, that very question. Out of over 4,400 total votes, the results are in!

OnePlus Nord price poll results

Our poll asked readers just what amount would they be willing to pay for the OnePlus Nord. Responders had to pick from the following options:

  • $600 or more
  • $500
  • $400
  • Less than $400

The poll results are very clear. A majority of you have picked one option. Here’s the breakdown.

Almost 73.2% of you don’t want to pay more than $400 for the OnePlus Nord. This means that if you’re buying the phone in India, you don’t want to shell out more than Rs 30,000 for it. And if you’re in Europe, you want to spend less than €356 on the OnePlus Nord. If you’re in the US, bad luck! OnePlus isn’t planning to launch the Nord in North America for the time being.

Meanwhile, 19% of you would settle for a slightly higher $400 price tag. A little over 6% wouldn’t mind paying $500. And 1.6% of you are even willing to pay more than $600! Who are you people?

The good news is that a leaked survey has also suggested an under-$400 price for the OnePlus Nord: Rs 25,000 (~$330) to be exact. This would definitely make the phone quite popular and a competitive alternative to devices from Xiaomi and Realme. It could also sell better than the rumored Snapdragon 730-powered Google Pixel 4a when it launches.

So, it looks like our readers are in tune with the rumors and want the OnePlus Nord to be extremely affordable. Want to know more about the phone? Read our dedicated OnePlus Nord rumor hub here.
