Veteran game designers from the likes of Activision, id Software, and Naughty Dog have established a brand new AAA studio named emptyvessel, which is currently working on its debut project.
The new development team comprises of talent that has worked on some of gaming’s biggest franchises, including DOOM, Call of Duty, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and Tomb Raider. Emptyvessel is helmed by Emanuel Palalic (CEO, Game Director) and Garrett Young (COO, General Manager). The team’s debut project will “leverage their experience in the immersive shooter space,” and will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.
