Nothing but a shilling, apologist article….

*While these closures may come as a blow to the affected teams and the wider gaming community, they reflect Microsoft’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation within its gaming ecosystem. By consolidating resources and doubling down on key franchises, Microsoft aims to strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive market.*

*These actions underscore Microsoft’s proactive approach to navigating the complexities of the gaming industry and positioning itself for long-term success.*

*As the gaming landscape continues to evolve, fueled by technological advancements and shifting consumer trends, adaptability becomes paramount. Microsoft’s decision to prioritize high-impact games signals a recognition of the need to innovate and evolve in response to changing market dynamics.*

*Looking ahead, Microsoft remains committed to delivering compelling gaming experiences, with an impressive lineup of titles on the horizon. From the highly anticipated Starfield Shattered Space to the immersive worlds of Fallout 76 Skyline Valley and The Elder Scrolls Online’s Golden Road, the future promises exciting opportunities for gamers worldwide.*

*While the studio closures may represent a challenging moment for those affected, they also herald a new chapter of growth and exploration within the gaming industry. As Microsoft continues to invest in its portfolio of games and expand its reach, the stage is set for a future defined by creativity, innovation, and unforgettable gaming experiences.*

Consolidation isn’t innovative. It stifles creativity. Killing jobs is not growth. Concentrating only on the big titles against the smaller titles is the opposite of innovative. Firing individuals who were creative in their craft isn’t innovative. Even the smaller indie developers will find it harder to be picked up for game pass because their original IPs aren’t well known. Which some of use said for years . Either that or less money offered to the developer as the gold rush of monetary handouts decrease. Any talk about how buying up the industry and restructuring is positive while ignoring that Microsoft could have used those billions to restructure their internal teams without the acquisition, is just ridiculous talk.
