TL;DR

  • T-Mobile has reportedly announced price hikes on some older plans to employees.
  • An apparent employee claimed that prices for affected plans could increase by $2 to $5 per voice line.

An apparent T-Mobile employee has revealed on Reddit that the network is raising rates on some old plans by $2 to $5 per voice line. The user also posted a purported screenshot of an internal slide detailing the news, as seen below. The image suggests that the carrier is raising prices due to inflation and other associated cost increases.

This news was corroborated by The Mobile Report, which added that the price hikes affect Simple Choice and ONE plans. It’s unclear whether other plans are affected just yet. It’s believed that the price increase could come into effect from the June 5 billing cycle.

“The majority of our customers are not included. The small fraction of customers who are included will be notified on May 22,” read an excerpt of an internal document posted by the news outlet.

This is a developing story…
