The Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Shrouded Fable expansion arrives on August 2, and preorders are now open at Best Buy. Like all things Pokemon TCG, this one is bound to be popular–so if you want to ensure you won’t pay reseller price, reserving the items you want is a wise decision. Along with Shrouded Fable, the Pokemon TCG: Trick or Trade Booster Bundles are back on the market, with preorders now available for the 2024 edition ahead of its August 30 launch.

If you’re looking for something cheap, the Trick or Trade Booster Bundle is one of your best options as it’s just $15. Inside you’ll find 35 mini packs, each with three cards. In other words, that’s 105 cards for just $15–not a bad deal, though preorders have sold out in previous years. The Trick or Trade packs are designed to be given out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween, but we won’t tell if you open all the packs yourself instead.
For those who just want to dabble with the next major Pokemon TCG expansion, the Shrouded Fable 3-Pack Booster is available for $14. It gets you three boosters from the new expansion, each with 10 cards.
To really stock up on new Pokemon TCG cards, consider preordering the Scarlet & Violet: Shrouded Fable 6-Pack Booster Bundle (releases September 6) for $27 or the Scarlet & Violet: Shrouded Fable Elite Trainer Box for $50. The latter is a particularly good option, as it comes with nine booster packs, a full-art foil promo card featuring Pecharunt, 65 card sleeves, 45 energy cards, a player’s guide to the Shrouded Fable expansion, a coin-flip die, and plenty of other goodies (plus a collector’s box to hold everything).
