Green Dragon CVR delves into three of the most interesting soulslike games on the horizon: Mortal Shell, Hellpoint and Shattered TotFK. We are amidst an unprecedented period of flourishing for this genre, which [eleven years on] is no longer in its infancy. Beginning with Lords of the Fallen, crystallized by Nioh and Salt and Sanctuary [into the primary 3D and 2D variants of the genre], we find ourselves placed in 2020, the apparent Age of the Soulslike, to comment on some upcoming entries, with special attention paid to those indie titles which iterate on the Miyazaki formula in a novel [aesthetic or mechanical] manner.
