Comcast is premiering a three-part docuseries on diversity in entrepreneurship on their Black Experience channel. Culture Capital offers discussions with nine entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds who are all at different stages in their journey, with businesses in Detroit; Philadelphia; Portland, Oregon; Washington, D.C., and San Jose.

Among those featured on the show are:

  • Melinda Archuleta, owner of Bar Carlo, a full-service Mexican American restaurant

  • Cody Coleman, co-founder and CEO of Coactive AI, a generative AI that supercharges data-driven businesses

  • Bertony Faustin, owner of Abbey Creek Vineyard, which blends wine and music

  • Grace Hsia, founder of Warmilu, a material science warming company

  • Chekesha Kidd, co-founder of Kinumi, a dedicated source for active aging

  • Latoya Peterson, co-founder and chief experience officer of Glow Up Games, a gaming company that builds playful technology centering around Black and brown joy

  • Will Toms, the co-founder and CCO of REC, a members-only club of the world’s most ambitious creators in Philadelphia

  • Ashley Williams, the founder of RIZZARR, a content marketplace for the next generation of creators

  • David Wong, the founder of Frieda, a social enterprise company

Over the course of its three episodes, Culture Capital unpacks the ups and downs these entrepreneurs faced while starting their business in modern-day competitive markets. Serving as the show’s host is Felecia Hatcher, the CEO of the non-profit group Black Ambition Prize, which focuses on increasing entrepreneurship and capital in the Black community.

“By creating Culture Capital, we have crafted a platform that elevates the voices of entrepreneurs of color to a national stage, showcasing the rich diversity and boundless potential within our communities,” Hatcher said in a statement. Hatcher went on to commend the company’s commitment to diversity on screen and behind the scenes.

Culture Capital was created and produced by Comcast’s business accelerator branch, Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs, and their small business and economic growth branch, Comcast RISE.

How to watch: Culture Capital premieres on Comcast’s Black Experience on Xfinity channel, Peacock, and Xumo on July 17.
