New Releases highlights some of the hottest games coming soon, and this week has a double dose of invaded kingdoms with PS4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima and Nintendo Switch exclusive Paper Mario: The Origami King. The multiplatform crowd can try out Rocket Arena, and Death Stranding‘s PC port is here. Finally, those looking for a more zen experience can tend to their farms with Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

Death Stranding — July 14

Available on: PC

Our Death Stranding review is quite positive, and now PC gamers can experience Hideo Kojima’s latest outing for themselves. It’s the same story of deliveryman Sam Bridges trekking across a shattered United States, with a healthy dose of Kojima’s signature story beats and zany cutscenes. The PC version also includes a new photo mode and crossover content with the Half-Life series, plus support for higher framerates and ultrawide monitors.

You might know this game by its western name, Harvest Moon, and the remake is headed to PC and Switch. If you’ve never played the series, prepare for a whole bunch of crop-growing, cattle-wrangling, and so much more. You can take your produce and livestock to the market or whip up delicious meals for yourself too.

This is the next PS4 exclusive from Sly Cooper and Infamous developer Sucker Punch. You play as Jin, a samurai looking to liberate his island from Mongol invaders. You’ll do this with a combination of stealth and in-your-face katana combat. You’ll need to switch stances and time your attacks to parry and defeat your many enemies.

The Mushroom Kingdom has been usurped again, this time by the eponymous Origami King Olly. Mario will have to use a new ring-based combat system to defeat enemies and bosses if he hopes to take the kingdom back. The origami style applies to the world too: you’ll be pulling and bending the environment to solve puzzles and explore. It isn’t as role-playing focused as some of the older games. Instead, it has heavy adventure game elements and plenty of puns.
