I’m upgrading from a PS4 Pro and although I would PREFER to get a PS5 as I have a ton of digital PS4 games, Sony’s lack of transparency makes it difficult for me to justify a Day 1 purchase.
What upgrades are my old PS5 games getting with PS5’s boost mode? MS already told me Gears 5 on the XSX will exceed the PC version and run at a stable 4K/60fps for both gameplay and cinematics.
What PS5 exclusive games are targeting 60fps? We know Deathloop, Astrobot, and Sackboy Adventure will be 60fps. Great, but what about more graphically intensive games? MS already told me that they’re targeting 4K/60fps for all their first-party games….that includes Hellblade 2 that runs on UE’s newest engine.
What major ecosystem upgrades are we getting on Playstation? Will there be something similar to Xcloud where I can play Playstation games on my phone or iPad? Xbox already clarified this with Xcloud.
There are far too many unanswered questions from Sony to justify a Day 1 purchase.
