The X is being replaced by the Series S (Lockhart) because it would be better performance and lower point of entry into the Series line of games while also being bc with the existing xbo library. The SAD is being phased out because it wasnt a good deal compared to a full featured S. The S will still be available for the next couple of years as an even lower cost system. Most likely to be a cheap streaming system for xcloud if a consumer does not want to invest in a Series class machine.
The stores are reporting things correctly where it concerns the X and SAD. Meaning no more stock to be made available for purchase. Target is the one who is going a bit further in thinking ALL XBO systems are discontinued. If there is confusion… it’s right there at Target.
