Press Start says: “The PS5 Pro was announced a few weeks ago with an almost identical design to the PS5 Slim with both consoles using the same external disc drive.
This led people to think that both consoles would use the same faceplates, especially given the disc drive comes with a faceplate (1 out of 4 parts) that will presumably work with both consoles, although this has now become unclear.”
