Sony is the one whose allegedly paid Game Science so under MS´s accusations, they should come forward, but they didn´t.
The “reasons” provide by Game Science was before MS called them out.
You see, when Larian was having problems porting BG3 for the Series S, MS quickly tasked a team of engineers to help them getting done.
If Game Science was really having trouble with Series hardware, Xbox could help since XGS has the best UE5 engineers and developers in the world, and yet, no assistance was required.
I doubt MS would lie about something like that knowing that both Sony and Game Science could take legal action against them and ultimately cancel BMW´s port for Xbox.
Considering all the things I said above, plus Sony´s track record, I´m positive that Sony paid GS to keep that game from Xbox on launch. It´s not the first time and it won´t be the last.
That said, I´m not complaining though. They´d delivered a sh!t port for the PS5 in comparison with PC.
If that PS5 port has met their “quality standards”, they can delay that game for an extra year for all I care.
