And yet not all the reviews are positive…

I think you’re seeing “BioWare is back!” Because Buoware hasn’t been BioWare for a long time. That’s an easy catchphrase to use.

The examples you’ve seen for the dialogue are cringe, but that’s not indicative of the entirety of all the dialogue in the game. Again, I’ve only completed the first chapter but there was nothing “cringe” so far. It’s very Marvel-esque in the sense that it isn’t like people are taking a dire situation with dramatic seriousness, but it’s actually decent. And no, I’m pretty sure a 6-year old couldn’t write it.

I get your stance, but you’re on the extreme end of it where you listen to influencers and take it as gospel. It’s no different than woke people screaming about how Stellar Blade will cause the death of women for their portrayal. It’s a pendulum effect, where we should be in the middle.

Gay and Trans people exist in our world. I think they should be written with nuance and feel genuine instead of like someone jumping out of the frame into the spotlight and saying “I’m so-and-so AND I’m bi-sexual” as if they’re about to sing “Here I come to save the daaaaaaay!!!!”

Yea, that sh*t is dumb. On the opposite side these a**-holes need to understand there’s an audience that like attractive designs and fantasy level looking characters and they don’t have to be careful with what they say, because that’s reality in a world we ALL live in.

People have some grand conspiracy about the reviews. Let me ask you this, say you made a game that has hot character designs and women running around in thongs with tig’ ol’ bitties and it’s not politically correct and you have woke influencers pissing all over your previews and trailers, making videos about how terrible your game is every day, then they reach out to you for a FREE copy of your game so they can “review” it, which really means they’re going to sh*t all over it because that’s the niche they have with their audience and gets views.

Are you going to supply them with a review code? I’d f*cking hope not. Nobody is saying people can’t review the game, it’s just they have to “buy it” and because 9/10 times they aren’t going to be objective and YOU damn well know they aren’t.

Not all reviews that got the code dang it praise, so get that idea that they were paid off out your head. I’ve got 0 money from EA, hell I’m out money because I paid to play it and from what I’ve played I absolutely see where the 8’s are coming from and no, not every word out of someone’s mouth is DEI.
