Clicks brings its BlackBerry-style keyboard case to Android phones

Clicks is bringing its BlackBerry-style physical keyboard case to Android. The company on Tuesday announced the launch of three new products aimed at Android users, including Clicks keyboards for the Google Pixel, Motorola Razr+, and Samsung Galaxy.

The cases are available for pre-order starting today and will initially be offered at lower price points than their existing iPhone counterparts.

The Pixel 9 and 9 Pro cases are available for pre-order for $99, with the price rising to $139 after March 21.

Razr+ and Samsung Galaxy S25 users can get a case for $99, as well (which can be reserved with a $49 downpayment). After March 21, they also increase to $139.

The cases have tapped into nostalgia for the days of BlackBerry physical keyboards. Clicks went on to sell more than 100,000 of its iPhone cases in more than 100 countries, following its 2024 launch.

However, the iPhone case can be awkward, as Apple devices aren’t shaped like the short, wide, and squat BlackBerrys of the past. The weight of the case and iPhone combined can make users feel like they’re fighting gravity when they try to type, leading to a wobbly feeling in the hands.

Clicks admits that its cases may require a learning curve. The company has released help documentation outlining how to properly hold the phone. Some of those who have trained themselves on the new technique have since grown to like it.

Like the Clicks iPhone cases, the Android keyboards include metal dome switches for tactile feedback, backlit keys, support for keyboard shortcuts, a microfibre interior, USB-C charging (plus wireless charging for Pixel devices), and more.

There’s also a companion app for saving user preferences.

The Pixel Clicks cases come in Surge (bright yellow) and Onyx (black), and ship in late-April.

Razr+ cases come in Electric (bright blue) and Onyx and ship in late-May.

Galaxy S25 cases come in Pinot (red) and Onyx and ship in June.
