Avowed Boasts 5.9 Million Players In First Month, Leaving Indiana Jones 1.9 Million Behind

I think you are missing the point. The people who said Astro Bot had low sales did not say so to take a jab at PlayStation. Astro Bot is a great game and the people who actually played it want more games like it, however, we cannot convince Sony to invest more into the franchise if the sales are $1.5M. We see what Sony did to Days Gone and how hesitant Nintendo is about making games like Metroid or how Capcom feels about making MegaMan games. They are of the belief that “I have to green light the next games to be released in X amount of years but the budget is limited. Do I greenlight a game that sold $1.5M copies or a game that sold close to or more than $10M copies?” Astrobot could end up going dormant if it is not appreciated by the PlayStation user base.

Games like Avowed and Indiana Jones are a dime a dozen on the Xbox and PlayStation console so don’t expect to see the same sentiments shared about those games.
