Probably. They’re sharks with their IPs, but to be frank, they probably do it for everything even if they don’t really care that much for the sake of deterring people from trying anything with their games. If the public thinks everything is a risk, they’re discouraged from trying ANY of it. Perhaps they think if they let one minor thing slide, it will open the floodgates.
They’re a bit stuck in their ways so who would be surprised to see that they’re highly resistant to changes in modern gaming?
