How To Get Sprinklers In Fields Of Mistria – Water Sprite Statues Guide

Getting Fields of Mistria‘s sprinklers, or Water Sprite Statues to use their official name, involves an in-depth process that pushes you through much of the farm-sim’s current endgame. If you’re just starting in the game, don’t expect to get your hands on them any time soon. It’s worth the effort, though, as not only do you get an item that cuts your workload’s intensity, but you also get the knowledge to craft the stones that make the sprinklers work. This Fields of Mistria guide explains how to get sprinklers and what you need to craft them.

Fields of Mistria sprinklers: How to get the Water Sprite Statue crafting recipe

You can reach this beach at any point, but acquiring the spell that unlocks the cave takes a long time.

The sprinkler crafting recipe is in the blocked-off beach cave east of the lighthouse (and so is the auto-petter), which you can now open thanks to a new spell Fields of Mistria’s second update added–if you put the work in. You acquire the Dragon’s Breath spell during the Breaking the Fire Seal quest, which you also need to complete to meet Caldarus’ human form and enter the update’s new biomes.

The quest requires you to reach the fire seal in the mines on floor 60, which also means breaking through the other seals on the way down. The short version is that this all takes a fair bit of effort, so if you just started, it’ll probably be a couple of seasons before you manage to reach this point.

Once you have the spell, travel to the cave entrance by hopping into the ocean to the right of the lighthouse and swimming up to the cave. Breathe fire over the rocks to unblock the entrance. Inside is a Water Sprite Statue to get you started and the crafting recipe to make more.

It'll take a lot of essence to keep a fleet of Water Sprite Statues going, so think carefully before you place them.

Crafting more Water Sprite Statues requires one of Fields of Mistria’s new ingredients, refined stone. However, you can only unlock refined stone after completing the new Renovate the Inn questline and unlocking the Stone Refinery. That’s at the end of the existing storyline and pops up once you hit town rank 55, so again, it won’t happen quickly.

Once you complete the quest and craft your Stone Refinery, you can make, well, refined stone, along with essence stones, another new addition that powers sprite statues, among other things.

To craft one sprinkler, you need:

  • 10 refined stone
  • 50 essence
  • 3 ash mushroom

Ash mushrooms come from the new Lava Caves biome, so make sure to explore a bit down there when you have time.

With newly-crafted sprinkler in hand, place it in the middle of a patch of crops you want the statue to water, and add an essence stone to the device. Essence stones last for different lengths of time depending on how big the stone is that you used, so don’t forget to check back and check if the device needs another one.
