  • In the US and Canada, there won’t be any Samsung Galaxy Note 20 headphones in the box.
  • However, you can get a complimentary pair by contacting Samsung’s customer care team.
  • The headphones will be AKG-branded USB-C wired earbuds.

When Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 goes on sale in the US on August 21, it will come with slightly different in-box contents than its international counterparts. Namely, there won’t be any Samsung Galaxy Note headphones to find.

International variants of the phone will come with a pair of complimentary AKG USB-C headphones.

No Samsung Galaxy Note 20 headphones in US boxes

“We are no longer offering wired headphones in the box for our flagship phones in North America,” a Samsung spokesperson told PhoneArena. With more and more people in the US and Canada using Bluetooth headphones with their phones, the company reasoned it didn’t make sense to continue bundling earbuds with its devices.

The good news is that you can still get a pair of complimentary Samsung Galaxy Note 20 headphones. Better yet, all you have to do is ask. “For those consumers that prefer the USB-C wired headphones, our customer care team can offer them on request,” Samsung said.

We’ve contacted Samsung to get additional details on the process, and we’ll update this article once we hear back. That said, your best bet will likely be to call or message Samsung support once you have your new Note 20 in hand. In the US, you can call Samsung support by dialing 1-800-726-7864. To message them instead, text “HELP” to 62913.
