Whovians, rejoice! Disney has released the official trailer for Doctor Who Season 2 (aka Season 15 of the 2005 reboot), and it’s full of classic timey wimey goodness.
Ncuti Gatwa returns as the Doctor, and this time around, they’ve got a new companion in Belinda Chandra (Varadu Sethu, Andor). The pair embark on an epic quest to bring her back home to Earth, but there’s just one problem: A mysterious force is stopping their return. What are the Doctor and their companion to do?
From the looks of the trailer, embark on a series of bonkers adventures. This time around, the TARDIS is heading everywhere from 1952 to the 51st century, taking a pit stop at the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest, a sci-fi Eurovision send-up, along the way. But that’s not all! In a series first, the Doctor and Belinda are turned into animated characters by the hand-drawn Mr. Ring-A-Ding (voiced by Alan Cumming). Doctor Who Season 2 also stars Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, as well as Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Rylan Clark, Anita Dobson, Freddie Fox, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave and Susan Twist.
Doctor Who Season 2 premieres Apr. 12 on Disney+ and BBC.
