Pierce Brown’s dystopian sci-fi series Red Rising has become one of the most popular ongoing book series in its genre over the past decade. Six novels in the Red Rising series have been published by Random House so far, with a seventh and final novel in the saga, Red God, expected to hit store shelves next year. New readers have plenty of time to catch up on Red Rising before Book 7, and Amazon has a great Red Rising Box Set deal to get you started.

$30.55 (was $55) | All-time lowest price

Red Rising’s first trilogy of novels–Red Rising, Golden Sun, and Morning Star–are collected in a 3-Book Paperback Box Set for $30.55 (was $54) at Amazon. This is marked as a limited-time deal, but it’s unclear when the offer expires. Nevertheless, it’s the lowest price ever for the box set, which was published in 2023.

The three books plus a physical edition excerpt of Book 4 clock in at 1,552 pages. The first two books in the series are around 450 pages each, but Morning Star is considerably thicker at 576 pages.

Red Rising is set hundreds of years in the future after humans have colonized the solar system and established a new caste-based society. The books follow Darrow, a Mars-born human of the lowly “Red” caste who discovers a secret about the planet that sparks him to free his fellow Reds.

Books 4-6 form the Iron Gold Trilogy and continue the trend of higher page counts. While they aren’t available together in a box set, you can save big on paperback and hardcover editions to read when you finish the box set. Iron Gold (624 pages) is on sale for only $11 (was $20) in paperback. Dark Age (800 pages), the fifth and longest book in the series, is actually cheaper in hardcover than paperback right now; you can get a copy for only $12.82 (was $32). The most recent book in the series, Light Bringer (704 pages), is available for $16 (was $20) in paperback. Amazon is sold out of the hardcover edition, but you can opt for the hardcover of Light Bringer for $16.79 (was $30) at Walmart.

We’ve listed each book in the Red Rising series in paperback and hardcover below:

If you like strategy board games, you may also want to check out the official board game adaptation by Stonemaier Games–especially since it’s so cheap right now. Amazon has the Red Rising board game discounted to only $11 (was $24).

Designed for up to six players–it can also be played solo–the card-based board game tasks you with gaining followers and power for your house.

Stonemaier Games designed Red Rising to be enjoyable for longtime readers as well as those who have never read the books. It has references that Red Rising readers will notice, but Stonemaier promises the game won’t spoil the plot of the book series.
