Bloomberg reports that Perplexity has already signed an agreement with Lenovo to integrate its AI assistant into its future phones. The partnership will go official at Motorola’s upcoming April 24 event, where it will unveil its 2025 Razr lineup. These phones will ship with Perplexity AI as an alternative to Google Gemini. Still, even if the other two scenarios pan out, it should greatly benefit Perplexity, putting it in front of millions of new eyes.
Besides Gemini, Samsung phones ship with Bixby pre-installed. If Perplexity comes onboard, future Galaxy phones could ship with as many as three AI assistants.
One reason Perplexity stands out is its flexibility — it supports not just its own AI model but also models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and others.
