It looks like Google is introducing a few new updates to some of its products, with one of the more interesting being the ability to resize panes on Android tablets and foldable devices within Gmail. This also extends to Google Chat as well, giving those with larger screen devices a chance to really take advantage of the added screen real estate.

A new set of helpful updates
Users will be able to drag the dividers that are in the current two-pane layout, controlling the width of each section within the app. This experience can be taken even further, allowing users to convert from a two-pane view, to just a single-pane view if needed. For the most part, this is going to be a welcome change for those that really like to customize the look of Gmail.
In addition to the above, Google also announced some other changes that are being deployed to various apps and services as well. Those that love using Google Vids will be happy to know that it’s now becoming a lot easier to make edits when dealing with objects or audio tracks. Users will now be able to adjust the height of the timeline, making it easier to see the details of each project.
Furthermore, users will now be able to generate images using Gemini in the side panel of Gmail. That’s right, Google is rolling out more Gemini features, which will now make it more seamless if you’re looking to create and share images on the fly. These images can also be saved, copied, or just directly inserted into the email of your choice.
The Gmail app will also get a fresh coat of paint on iOS devices, along with the ability to create and modify birthday events in Google Calendar. For the most part, we’re getting some nice updates that should make working with these products a lot easier. The best part is that you won’t have to wait in order to use these features. Google shares that these updates should now be available to all users.
