PS5 Slim Astro Bot Bundles Still In Stock At Walmart, Sold Out At Other Retailers

May 5, 2025

The PS5 Slim Astro Bot console bundles have surged in popularity following Microsoft’s decision to increase the prices of Xbox consoles. While Sony has yet to announce a price increase for the PlayStation 5 in the US, it seems like a distinct possibility in response to tariffs. Sony raised select PS5 hardware prices in several regions last month, including the UK, following a price increase in Japan last year. If you’re interested in picking up a PS5, now would be a smart time to buy one in the US.

  • Astro Bot PS5 Slim Bundle — $449
  • Astro Bot PS5 Slim Digital Bundle — $399

Even without the looming potential price increase, the PS5 Slim and PS5 Slim Digital console bundles are definitely worth considering while they are still available. These bundles are priced $50 lower than the console on its own, and you get a copy of one of the best PS5 exclusives. You’re essentially saving $110 versus buying the console and Astro Bot ($60) separately.

The Astro Bot PS5 bundles released in March. Up until last week, you could find both models at all major retailers. As of May 5, however, the story is much different. Both bundles are available at Walmart and PlayStation Direct, but they are sold out at Amazon, Target, and Best Buy. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Walmart join the other major retailers in being sold out of both PS5 bundles in the coming days.

The PS5 Slim Astro Bot bundle costs $450, while the the PS5 Slim Digital bundle is $400. Both versions come with a voucher to claim a digital copy of Astro Bot from the PlayStation Store. As Walmart does with many products, the bundles are $1 cheaper from Walmart than from other retailers.

Astro Bot earned rave reviews after it was released last year, as the Team Asobi-developed platforming game was praised for its fun level design, polished gameplay, and DualSense controller functions. It was one of GameSpot’s 10 best games of 2024, and at last year’s Game Awards, it won the Game of the Year award at the Geoff Keighley-hosted event.

Every PS5 console comes with Astro’s Playroom, a launch title with a few hours of gameplay that helped show off the DualSense’s unique tech. Astro’s Playroom can also be viewed as the foundation of Astro Bot, so it’s worth playing the charming freebie before diving into the main course.
