T-Mobile perks are cooking as the fan-favorite BBQ spatula giveaway returns

June 10, 2025

Summary

  • T-Mobile is offering a free BBQ spatula, available June 10 via the T-Life app and collected at corporate locations only.
  • It’s made of durable stainless steel with a cutout of the company’s logo, and a long-lasting wooden handle.
  • This edition of T-Mobile Tuesdays also offers more food-themed perks and discounts in addition to the spatula.

Nothing says summer like high temperatures, poolside parties, and the sizzle of burgers as they roast on a screaming-hot grill. Now, T-Mobile wants to help loyal customers flip those burgers, while reminding everyone that blazing-fast 5G reception is an important part of summer get-togethers.

To those ends, the masterminds behind all the free stuff of T-Mobile Tuesdays are bringing back a giveaway from long ago that still lives on in grillout nostalgia. Tomorrow, June 10, you’ll be able to claim your free T-Mobile BBQ spatula via the T-Life app. Not only is it made from stainless steel with a rugged wooden handle, it comes factory-unlocked and ready for use with any brand of grill. There’s just one small caveat: you’ll have to visit a corporate-owned location to pick it up (Source: The Mobile Report).

A perk almost anybody can use

It’ll last longer than a phone, too

Time to fire this bad boy up and break out the soy burgers.

The reincarnation of T-Mobile’s free spatula isn’t quite the same as the first one. The 2019 version sported a bright pink handle reminiscent of the carrier’s favorite color, and the 16.75″ length aimed to keep grillmasters from melting it by accident. It worked, too, as some users reported keeping and using the spatula for far longer than the smartphone or plan that helped put it in their cabinet.

The new one appears to make a minor tradeoff. We don’t know the exact dimensions, as early leaks of the popular giveaway aren’t entirely forthcoming with details. But we do know it’s built of stainless steel with a durable, wooden handle. While it appears to be somewhat shorter than the 2019 model, you can trust the wood to hold up at least as long as even heat-resistant plastic. Sadly, though, it’s not pink.

Strong 5G coverage and solid discounts are just some of the benefits

The only potential hiccup is that only corporate-owned T-Mobile locations are participating in the promotion. This has actually applied to all physical T-Mobile Tuesdays perks for several months. You won’t be able to pick up your gift from third-party stores, so check the T-Mobile store locator after claiming the culinary tool in the T-Life app. We also recommend hurrying, because stock of this popular gift won’t last long.

The carrier isn’t stopping at just a cookout tool, either, with more food-themed and seasonal benefits, including a Little Caesar’s discount, a Tastemade+ meal plan subscription deal, and some sort of special experience at the upcoming Fanatics Fest NYC sports event. Those are in addition to the typical discount on Shell gasoline.

Unfortunately, the new spatula does not appear to integrate a bottle opener like the previous model. However, savvy beverage enthusiasts may be able to crack open a cold one using the tool’s durable metal edges. Just don’t burn yourself.
