Sega fans are in for a long wait, as two of the biggest–and recently announced–games from the publisher won’t be out for a long time. Persona 4 Revival from Atlus and RGG’s Stranger Than Heaven received brand-new trailers earlier this month, but those two games are still quite far away from release. Both games are planned to launch either during or after Sega’s 2027 fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2026.
The news was confirmed by Sega as part of a management presentation from earlier this month, where the company outlined plans for its business. However, it appears Sega may not have meant to release the report–at least in this form, which contained unredacted sales figures–and has since pulled it from its website, although it is still archived online.
Stranger Than Heaven was first revealed at The Game Awards 2024 under the working title of Project Century, but a new trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025 revealed the proper title for the game, gameplay, and offered a glimpse into its world. Not long after, Sega officially confirmed that a remake of Persona 4 was on the way at the Xbox Games Showcase, but beyond that, details on the game remain slim for now.
While it will be a long wait for either game to come out, there’s still a lot to look forward to from Sega throughout 2025. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army launched on June 19, and in August, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will arrive on PC and consoles.
Sega’s other big game, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, once again puts the hedgehog behind the wheel of a hypercar for a race against old rivals–and SpongeBob SquarePants–in September.
