I have to question at this point:
Do MS even HAVE a PR team?
Having all of these closures, game cancellations, figure heads contradicting each other, having leaders send letters filled with PR speak and lacking any genuine appearance of emotion or remorse, all while talking about how they’ve never been more profitable…for it to get EVEN WORSE is an impressive feat of ineptitude.
Not only is all that followed by this headline about AI, they have the sheer GALL to ask those yet to be fired to come to a roundtable on AI? To ask them thoughts about tech MS is actively pursuing to ensure they can fire the very people they are asking input from? Chef’s kiss, meme-master level commitment to the bit. Couldn’t have worse optics, or be more tone def to either the public or your own employess.
I refuse to believe anyone is being paid to step on each and every possible rake they can, and instead of dodging the last in their long line of rakes, manage to instead trip over their own feet & faceplant in such a spectacular fashion that it’s borderline impressive.
