It’s probably a case by case basis.
Although I don’t agree with it, a game like Helldivers 2 being online only needs constant players. So it does make sense. I personally don’t see active franchises that are story based jumping ship like that. I could be wrong though.
As for the fanboy thing, you do realize the same could be said for the other camp right? People said things like Gears of war wouldn’t be on playstation
