Back up your files anytime, anywhere with this sleek portable SSD that’s now just $63

It’s always a good idea to have the files on your phone, tablet and other important devices backed up. While cloud storage is a popular solution, it can get expensive, and you don’t have as much control as you would with local storage. For those reasons and more, we recommend a portable SSD, so you can back up your data no matter where you are and have access to it whenever you need it.

While there are plenty of great portable SSD options, we think this one from SK hynix is going to be one to take a look at, especially with its recently reduced price for Prime Day. For a limited time, you can score this 1TB drive for just $63. This is the lowest price we’ve seen for this drive, delivering a ton of bang for your buck.

What’s great about the SK hynix portable SSD?

Although the SK hynix Beetle X31 portable SSD may look flashy with its gold color, it’s all business when it comes to the internals and features. This portable SSD delivers excellent performance numbers, with sequential read speeds that can reach up to 1,050MB/s, and sequential write speeds that top out at 1,000MB/s.

In addition to the above, this portable SSD features DRAM, which means that you’re going to get sustained performance, which is important when you’re transferring a lot of files at once. The aluminum case provides a durable shell to protect it from bumps and drops, with SK hynix sharing that it should survive drops of up to two meters.

As far as compatibility goes, you should be able to use access to drive using any device that has a USB-C port. You may need to format it depending on the product, but as far as Android goes, it should be plug and play. If all of that wasn’t enough, the brand also provides a three-year warranty to protect against any issues you might have.

So if you’ve been thinking about grabbing some extra storage, then this portable drive might just be the thing. Just be sure to grab it during Prime Day so you can get the best price.
