Donkey Kong Bananza wouldn’t be “possible” without ditching the Switch 1

I bought my PS5 at launch and the only “new” game was Ratchet & Clank. The rest were a bunch of PS4 remasters.

I was perfectly fine buying it then because I knew what was going to come for it. Same thing here for the Switch 2. I had MK World to tide me over at launch. I knew I had Donkey Kong a month after release, and I still have Metroid to look forward to a little bit later this year. Not to mention the random 3rd party stuff that will start to fill in as more devs look to release their games there.

Plus I have a huge backlog of Switch 1 games that I haven’t even touched. Now I get to play these games with better performance / visuals (even in the case where the games haven’t been patched). A nice added bonus.

But nobody is forcing anyone to get one. If they want to wait, then wait. No big deal. But lots of people are using and enjoying theirs, myself included.
