Not all characters are created to become role models. Likewise not all role models were meant to be looked up at. It all depends on the individual, plenty women look at the damsel in distress and strive to be a spoiled brat themselves. Also Zelda exists and she’s never been a damsel in distress. Doubt many girls will look up to loli Pauline after she was the Mayor of New Donk City in the previous game.
